The Edwards 2012 garden has been officially planted!!
First came the weeding
And then the planting
But, once all the work is done, you get
Left Box: Onion – Tomatoes – Carrots – Radish – Peas
Left Little Box: Cucumbers
Middle Box: Peppers – Asparagus – Spinach/Lettuce (hopefully head lettuce) – Beans
Right Little Box: Zucchini
Right Box: Pumpkin and Watermelon
We are looking forward to a lot of tasty fruit and veggies this summer. It will be a lot of work, but that is what family is for!

Hard to believe that January 3rd marked a year for me focusing on living a healthier lifestyle. Just one day short of 53 weeks.

Honestly, I thought that I would have met my goal weight, instead of being 13 lbs away. However, I am still extremely pleased with my progress, and I know that when I lose those last 13 lbs. that I will still have to make conscientious decisions to stay on this path. Seeing that number on the scale won’t mean the end of this fight. A fight stay healthy!

With that being said, there are many things that have happened in the last year that I am proud of, because I know that they are lasting. These include:
With Phara and Katie after the Reindeer Run (12.3.11). So thankful for running friends!
I am excited to see what this year has in store for me, and our family. I have some goals and hopes – but that’s another post. 
October 2007 I started blogging. The purpose was to share about family – kids growing, their milestones, and funny day to day details. It was also a great place to share pictures with family near and far.
In January 2011 I began a more personal blog to chronicle my weightloss and attempt to become a healthier and more active mom.
While I love having both blogs, it has become increasingly difficult to keep these two aspects of my life (and my family) separate. And, managing two blogs is time consuming, which has recently lead to a lack of blogging on both.
So, for the new year, I would like to get back to blogging. However, I am merging topics. Much of our daily lives have changed to reflect a healthier lifestyle – staying active and sticking together.
